Commercial Arts has a highly selective approach and deals only with the best of contemporary writers and composers. We are able to licence 100% of both publishing and master rights for many of the works in our catalogue making us a fast and efficient one stop shop for Music Supervisors, advertising agencies and TV production companies.GUY FLETCHER, OBE, FRSA - Chairman and Managing Director : Guy has been a respected songwriter since the sixties. Recordings of his songs by Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Ray Charles, Frankie Valli, Joe Cocker and many other international stars have ensured his place in British pop history. Now a leading light in the British music publishing industry, he is Chairman and Managing Director of Commercial Arts Ltd, Deputy Chairman of Conexion Media Plc and a Director of the Performing Rights Society . He was also a founding director of British Music Rights Ltd. (now UK Music Ltd). For more than a decade, Guy was Chairman of BASCA, The British Academy of Songwriters Composers and Authors where he led many campaigns against the erosion of composers rights. He continues to be a highly respected voice internationally in the struggle for the maintenance of the value of our copyrights and tirelessly champions the cause of the creator in all industry matters. For these things he was honoured with an OBE in H.M. the Queen’s birthday honours list in 2005. In forming Commercial Arts Ltd. in 2008, Guy has fulfilled a dream to devote all his time to a highly creative rights management business where he can work solely with people and music he loves. CRISPIN EVANS - Legal and business affairs expert : Crispin is widely experienced in all aspects of music rights management having held senior positions at EMI and Universal. His recent position as legal counsel for the Performing Right Society also brings a special dynamic to the Commercial Arts team. JO STEVENS - Creative Manager : Jo brings her unique skills and judgement to the Commercial Arts catalogue and its creators. Being a fine singer songwriter herself, she has an empathy which is enjoyed and respected by our writers and licensees alike. She also believes that a copyright sitting on the shelf is a wasted copyright. It is no wonder that our writers love her! |
